Four girls. Two parents. And a belief that some of the best family memories happen when you step away from the usual route.

We’re not full-time travelers. We have a home, school, work, schedules, and all the normal chaos of raising four kids. But whenever we can, we take a detour — sometimes for a week, sometimes for a month, and sometimes a little longer.

THREE MONTHS IN EUROPE

Rome → Tuscany → Vienna → London

This winter, we’re stepping away from our normal routine for our biggest family adventure yet. We’re taking our four girls to Europe, spending most of our time living in Tuscany, with stops in Rome, Vienna and London along the way. I’ll be sharing how we planned it, what it costs, what we packed, where we stayed, what worked, what didn’t, and what it’s really like doing a trip like this as a family of six.
